As you step into Cafe Vienna, you’re greeted by an atmosphere brimming with charm and a touch of eclectic vibes that seem to resonate with each visit. The cafe has built a reputation for its affordable yet flavorful offerings that cater to both savory cravings and sweet delights. Customer favorites include their hearty plates filled with generously-sized portions, ensuring that one dish is often enough to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Guests have particularly raved about the Vegan Curry Wurst, which promises an explosion of flavor, and the Vegan Gyros—a dish praised for its seasoning, though offering a touch of inconsistency in taste according to some reviews.

Many patrons, like Kat Klein, regard Cafe Vienna as one of their all-time favorites in Mannheim, highlighting it as an ideal place to relax with friends while savoring a good meal and drinks. The café's friendly service—led by attentive staff members, including notable waiters like Charlie—only enhances the experience, making guests feel right at home, even when the establishment is bustling with activity. As shared by Gerard, it possesses a high-quality cost ratio, making it an affordable choice for students and locals alike. The lively atmosphere is perfect for mingling, with music that sets the right tone for an enjoyable meal. While some guests expressed a desire for louder tunes to accompany their dining experience, many appreciate the existing backdrop as a part of its unique charm.

With its combination of good food, friendly faces, and an inviting setting, Cafe Vienna remains a cherished spot for both longtime residents and newcomers. Whether you’re reminiscing about old Erasmus days like S. G., or discovering it for the first time as Felipe César did, Cafe Vienna's allure is undeniable. Make it your next stop in Mannheim, and experience the charm for yourself—with a promise that you’ll want to return time and again.

One of my all time favorites in Mannheim! Perfect place to hang out with your friends and enjoy some good food and drinks. Food options are mostly savory and always taste good! Portions are pretty big. So really, one plate should be enough for most people. Prices have gone up over the last years but it’s still very affordable. Service is friendly but can be a bit slow when the place is full. Several vegetarian and vegan options available

Great, alternative and unique atmosphere, very high quality/cost ratio / prices below average in the area. Definitely a place where you will enjoy good vibes. I would stand out the professionalism, friendliness and attentiveness of the waiter Charlie at the bar, who treated as so well!

PROS: - Foods are decent but one time me and my friend ordered vegan gyros and mine was quite salty, meanwhile my friend’s food was quite well seasoned. - Staffs have been always nice to me. - Great Atmosphere, i love the music, sometimes i wished they could play it a bit louder. There is a table with pretty 2 large sofas and i find it really cool to sit there with friends - During the week less crowded, this place will be quite a nice place to chill CONS: - There is a little shelf with boardgames, maybe they should add uno cards haha :) - Only cash

During Erasmus time (13 years ago) me and my friends were used to grab som food here and beers and we remember like a really good place. We come back today and it’s still a really good place to eat and drink!

Good loud meeting place for students with affordable prices and German food, which you rarely find in Germany. Service takes their time though.

Best “undergroud” place in the center of mannheim. The waiter was SUPER nice and friendly , always translating and helping us. Would recommend to everyone that visits the city.

As always, great place to hang out and just chill with your friends. Friendly but direct people. Love it. And we can say that is hasn't changed in 15 years, well except the veggie food and non-alcoholic gin

I love the great food and the cozy atmosphere of this student-friendly and affordable cafe. Their vegan curry wurst is amazing. I’ve been there over 10 times and plan to keep going back.
